COMMUNITY SERVICES TEAM LEADER

(FULL-TIME)

The Community Services Team Leader will reconfigure a traditional day
service provision by leading and implementing a Supported Self
Directed Living (SSDL) model of community based services which
enhances the power of people to achieve personal growth and experience
citizenship within their own communities. The role holder will shape,
develop and manage a rights based community service in in line with
draft regulation.

We know that people with disabilities are highly vulnerable to being
excluded from ordinary community life. SPC believe we can and must do
better by focusing our efforts on supporting people to develop a rich
range of experiences & relationships by orientating our energies and
resources to safeguard against exclusion.

We are seeking an experienced, creative and task orientated person who
has the energy and vision for a different type of service.

The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible
and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / CRITERIA

_CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:_

* Qualification in _Social Care, Social Work or Nursing_ &
qualification in _Management_
or
* An appropriate qualification in _Health or Social Care
Management_.

_EXPERIENCE:_

* A minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience in the
area of Health Care or Disability Services
* Passion for innovative solutions and process improvement
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to make sound decisions
with a well-reasoned rationale and to stand by these
* Proven organisational and time management skills to meet
objectives within agreed timeframes and achieve quality results
* Evidence of effective planning including an awareness of resource
management and the importance of value for money
* The ability to lead the team by example, coaching and supporting
individuals as required in the delivery of service excellence
* Working knowledge of all relevant legislation and HIQA Standards
and a proven ability to implement standards and regulations

_ESSENTIAL CRITERIA_

* Experience of working in a?multi-disciplinary environment.
* Competent and confident IT Skills.
